Mohsen Mahdawi was arrested by immigration authorities as part of a crackdown on foreign students who were legally studying in the United States. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has invoked a rarely used provision of immigration law to target some of the students for deportation by declaring that their continued presence in the country harms America’s foreign policy interests.
Mahdawi was detained on April 14 when he showed up to an immigration office in Vermont for an interview that he thought was going to be a final step to obtaining U.S. citizenship.

Election Fraud: U.S. Attorney’s Office Announces Task Force to Preserve and Protect the Integrity of Elections
Newark, N.J. – U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba today announced the creation of a federal task force to preserve and protect the integrity of elections conducted in the District of New Jersey.
The task force, which has been named the Election Integrity Task Force, will consist of a team of federal prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, who will work in conjunction with law enforcement officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other federal agencies to implement the directives set forth in the President’s March 25, 2025 Executive Order concerning elections. The Election Integrity Task Force’s objectives will include:
Set up a computer system allowing local, state, and federal offices to share information on voter registrations (and people who are ineligible to vote).
Prioritize enforcement of criminal laws aimed at voter registration fraud, fraudulent ballots, non-citizen voting, people voting multiple times in the same election, and “foreign interference caused by foreign nationals donating to United States elections.”
Ensure state compliance with the voter list maintenance requirements of the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act.
All Foreigners Want to Follow Rules – CCP Voter is MISSING
A bench warrant has been issued for a noncitizen accused of illegally voting in Michigan who failed to appear for a court date. This incident draws attention to concerns about noncitizens participating in US elections. Authorities are now seeking to locate the individual following their failure to appear before the court. The case underscores the ongoing scrutiny of voter rolls and election integrity issues in the state.
Specifically, the sources state that the decision to issue a bench warrant for Haoxiang Gao, a University of Michigan student accused of illegally voting despite not being a U.S. citizen, was made by Judge J. Cedric Simpson of District 14A Court. This decision occurred after a bench conference with Gao’s lawyer.
Haoxiang Gao, a Chinese national, is facing two felony charges for allegedly casting a ballot while ineligible and lying on the voter registration form. He failed to appear for a scheduled probable-cause hearing, which had been previously delayed. Federal law requires voters in U.S. elections to be citizens, and authorities allege Gao falsely claimed citizenship when registering.
If convicted, Gao could face up to nine years in prison and potential deportation. This case has drawn attention as it highlighted a loophole in Michigan’s same-day registration system, leading lawmakers and state officials to propose measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Republicans in Michigan have used Gao’s case to advocate for stricter voting laws, including requiring proof of citizenship when registering and implementing continual citizenship checks for registered voters. Democrats have indicated they will propose legislation to stop noncitizen voting without requiring broad citizenship checks.
Acid Rain Will Save The Planet
Scientists are proposing to modify Boeing 777 aircraft to spray sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere in an attempt to cool the Earth in the name of debunked, so-called “climate change”—despite fully acknowledging the serious risk of acid rain and other environmental disasters.
However, scientists warn this approach carries significant risks, including unpredictable climate impacts and potential acid rain. Introducing large quantities of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere could disrupt ecosystems and damage infrastructure through increased acidity in precipitation.
A recent study highlights the potential scale of the operation, estimating that a significant fleet of aircraft would be required for continuous sulfur injection. The debate continues among researchers and policymakers regarding the feasibility, ethics, and dangers of such large-scale atmospheric intervention as a response to climate change.
A new study published today in Earth’s Future openly admits that this method, called stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI), would sharply increase dangerous side effects like acid rain because it requires “three times more” aerosol to achieve the same cooling effect compared to previous high-altitude schemes.
Why Does Amazon Hide Country of Origin
But there were other questions. For example, why does Amazon sometimes conceal the country of origin for its products? And will the company make it easier for consumers to find the country of origin?
Everything is made somewhere, but Amazon only sometimes lists the country of origin for shoppers using a computer, and apparently not at all on the phone app.
When the country of origin is missing, Amazon usually names the manufacturer.
In that case, customers must go to a search engine, find the manufacturer online, and search not just for its address, which could be a sales and shipping office in the U.S., but specifically for where its products are made. Some companies make that hard to find.
UPS Slashing 20,000 Jobs Due To Amazon Decline
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/ups-slash-20000-jobs-amazon-pullback-looming-freight-slowdownUPS announced plans to cut approximately 12,000 jobs as part of a cost-reduction effort aimed at saving $1 billion. The company cited a challenging macroeconomic environment and a significant reduction in volume from a major customer, widely reported to be Amazon.
The job cuts are expected to impact managerial and contract positions globally throughout 2024. This move comes as UPS faces slowing demand following the pandemic-induced e-commerce surge.
UPS also reported lower-than-expected revenue and issued a cautious financial outlook for the coming year. The decision highlights the impact of shifting consumer spending and changes in relationships with large shipping partners on the logistics industry.
Re Amazon: We Are NOT Listing Tariffs Affecting Price
Shares of Amazon tumbled to premarket lows Tuesday after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the company’s recent decision to display the effect of tariffs on products a “hostile and political act,” adding “why didn’t Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?”
Leavitt characterized Amazon’s tariff tracker as a “hostile and political act.” The administration views this feature as an attempt to politicize trade policy and potentially influence consumer perception of prices.
Amazon defended the feature as providing transparency to consumers about the factors influencing product costs. However, the administration’s public criticism appears to have negatively impacted investor sentiment towards the company.
Business With China
This is a PERFECT example right here. It’s a 100% ripoff of Sharkbite from a fake Chinese company that simply doesn’t exist. Amazon deliberately hides country of origin on the product information page. Good luck trying to find any information about the alleged manufacturer.… https://t.co/JwHzAJEF3w pic.twitter.com/HTZFowTxUH

Auto Tariff Relief For US
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/trump-moves-ease-automaker-pain-tariff-relief-foreign-partsThe Trump administration is reportedly exploring options to ease financial pressures on American automakers by offering relief from tariffs on imported vehicle components. This initiative seeks to reduce the cost of manufacturing cars domestically.
Automakers have expressed concerns that tariffs on parts increase production expenses, potentially leading to higher consumer prices or reduced competitiveness. Tariff relief could make it more affordable to assemble vehicles in US plants using internationally sourced parts.
Details on the specific scope of the potential tariff reductions, including which parts and sourcing countries would be included, are still under consideration. The policy aims to provide economic support to the automotive sector amidst global trade dynamics.
Biden’s Damage To Oil Reserves
The effort to refill America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, depleted under President Biden in 2022, is progressing slowly under the Trump administration, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said in a CNBC interview this week.
“We are refilling the reserve now, and we will continue to refill the reserve the whole time I’m in office,” Wright stated, warning it could take years. He criticized Biden’s decision to release oil from the SPR as “such an irresponsible action to drain that reserve so quickly for electoral reasons.”
The Biden administration authorized a historic sale of 180 million barrels over six months to fight surging gasoline prices and inflation, and in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
Energy Secretary Chris Wright just revealed that Biden drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserves so rapidly—to drop prices before the election—that it damaged half the facilities.

Shri Just Shocks the Monkey
Democratic Congressman Shri Thanedar is reportedly facing scrutiny over allegations of animal abuse and neglect related to a pharmaceutical company he founded. Reports detail claims of poor conditions and abandonment of animals, including dogs and monkeys, used in testing facilities.
The allegations stem from issues at his former company, Avomeen, which reportedly went through bankruptcy proceedings. Critics are raising these past business practices and ethical concerns regarding the treatment of laboratory animals.
Thanedar’s political opponents are using these reports to question his character and suitability for office. He has previously filed articles of impeachment against former President Trump, adding a layer of political context to the current controversy.

Zeldo Digging His Own Hobbit Hole
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/trump-says-ukraine-will-be-crushed-very-shortly-without-peace-dealFormer President Trump has made statements suggesting that Ukraine risks being “crushed very shortly” if a peace deal is not reached in its conflict with Russia. He has repeatedly advocated for a swift resolution to the war.
Trump’s comments imply a belief that Ukraine’s position is unsustainable without an agreement and that continued fighting is detrimental. His stance differs significantly from the current administration’s policy of providing extensive support to Ukraine.
He has suggested he could negotiate a deal quickly if elected, although details of his proposed peace plan remain largely unspecified. The remarks have drawn criticism from those who support continued military and financial aid to Ukraine’s defense efforts.
